Overview

Since 2011, Casselman Mine has been the flagship mine for Corsa, providing us with a high-quality metallurgical coal product.

This long life underground metallurgical coal mine is located in Garrett County, approximately two miles south of Grantsville, Maryland, USA, and employs approximately 100 full-time workers. This mine is approximately 37 miles by truck from Corsa’s Cambria coal preparation plant in Somerset County Pennsylvania.

The Casselman Mine accesses the Upper Freeport Coal seam. Corsa’s most recent National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”) Report indicates the presence of over 6.5 million tons of in-place, low volatile, clean coking coal remaining at this mine. This mine is expected to produce between 550,000 – 600,000 tons per year of high quality, low volatile metallurgical coal.
