Corbin Robertson III - Director and Chairman
Corbin J. Robertson III has served as Chairman of the Board of Kopper Glo since 2006. Mr. Robertson is a Managing Partner of LKCM Headwater Investments GP, LLC and LKCM Headwater Investments I, L.P., a private equity fund. Mr. Robertson is also an owner of various interests associated with the Robertson family holding company and Quintana Capital Group, an energy focused private equity firm he co-founded. Mr. Robertson currently serves on various boards of Quintana and LKCM Headwater affiliated portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Robertson was a Vice President for Reservoir Capital Group, a New York-based investment firm, and prior to that, he worked for three years as a Vice President for Sandefer Capital Partners, an energy investment fund. We believe that Mr. Robertson's experience with investment in a variety of energy businesses provides a valuable resource to our board of directors.
John H. Craig - Director
John Craig is a partner at Cassels Brock and Blackwell LLP specializing in securities law acting primarily for public mining companies. He also serves on the boards of a number of companies in the resource industry. Mr. Craig received his B.A. and LLB from the University of Western Ontario and was admitted to the bar in 1973.
Alan De’Ath - Director
Alan M. De’Ath has over 30 years progressive international financial, commercial, corporate and operational experience as a senior executive in the mining industry. He retired from executive management in December 2012 after having served as President, CEO and director of Ivernia Inc. since 2003 and as CFO and Vice-President Corporate Development between 1999 and 2003. Previously, he was Senior Vice-President and CFO of TVX Gold Inc. Prior to joining TVX Gold Inc., he was Finance Director and Commercial Director, as well as an executive board member, of subsidiaries of Rio Tinto plc. in Nambia and Portugal, respectively. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
George Dethlefsen – Director
George G. Dethlefsen is Managing Director – Investments of Quintana Capital Group, an affiliate of Kopper Glo, prior to the completion of the Transaction, where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investments, as well as managing and monitoring the activities of Quintana’s portfolio companies. Previously, he was an Associate with the general partner of Natural Resource Partners, conducting corporate finance and valuation activities. Prior to joining Natural Resource Partners, Mr. Dethlefsen was with Goldman, Sachs & Co.’s investment banking division, where he worked with energy, power and consumer products companies. Mr. Dethlefsen attended Rice University, where he earned a BA in Economics and Managerial Studies, and The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned an MBA.
Keith D. Dyke - Director and President
Keith D. Dyke, has more than 30 years of diverse mining experience and involving mining operations management with a focus on improved productivity, lower costs, and safety and environmental compliance. Mr. Dyke’s management abilities coupled with his experience in mergers, acquisitions and strategic planning were and are important in Kopper Glo’s competitiveness in the current market and in its long-term stability. Mr. Dyke graduated from West Virginia University at Montgomery with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and then completed his MBA at Xavier University.
Michael Harrison - Director
Mike has over 15 years of capital markets and mining industry experience and is currently VP of Business Development at Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation. Prior to joining Coeur, Mike was a Director of Investment Banking at a Canadian Investment Dealer and also worked internationally for BHPBilliton in their exploration division. Mr. Harrison holds a Masters of Business Administration degree.
Robert Scott - Director
Robert Scott, CA, ACMA, was a key executive with the PBS Group since 1985. From 1985 to 1988, he served as CFO and Operations Director before becoming President and CEO in 1989. In 1998 he instigated the management led buyout of PBS from the UK parent and then refocused the thermal coal producer (PBS) to quickly become one of the major producers of low volatile metallurgical coal in the US. PBS was sold to Severstal in 2008 and Scott shortly thereafter joined the Corsa board.
Prior to this, he was CFO of NSM PLC, which was involved in coal mining in eight countries worldwide. He also served for 13 years as a Director for Derek Crouch plc, a U.K. listed mining company involved with operations in the U.K. and the United States, and held the positions of CFO as well as Executive Director for the U.S. mining division.
Daniel Smith – Director
Daniel (Danny) D. Smith retired effective July 1, 2013 as Senior Vice President Energy & Properties for Norfolk Southern Corporation, which included responsibility for all coal marketing, real estate including subsidiary Pocahontas Land Corporation. Before assuming this position, Danny was President NS Development from 2001 to 2003, President of Pocahontas Land from 1995 to the present, and prior to that held several positions with Pocahontas Land. Danny received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech in 1976. He is also a registered professional mining engineer in the states of Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. He served on several professional boards, including the American Coal Council, National Coal Council, Virginia Center for Coal and Energy Research, West Virginia Coal Association, and Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority.
Ronald Stovash- Director
Ronald G. Stovash was President and Chief Executive Officer, and a Director, of Colombia Energy Resources Inc. from August 2011 to November 2012. Mr. Stovash has spent over 45 years in the coal industry as a senior industry executive with experience in operations, engineering, marketing, transportation and corporate administration. Previously, he was a consultant from 2008 to 2011 and, from 2007 to 2008, the President and Chief Executive Officer of PinnOak Resources, LLC, a metallurgical coal mining company sold to Cliffs Natural Resources, Inc. Mr. Stovash spent virtually his entire career at CONSOL Energy and its predecessor companies, having joined the company’s Pittsburgh Coal Division in 1967 as an hourly employee while attending college and retiring as Senior Vice President of Coal Operations in 2007. He held several senior management positions at CONSOL, including Senior Vice President of Coal Operations, Senior Vice President of Planning and Administration, Senior Vice President of Operations Development, Senior Vice President of Central Appalachia Operations and Marketing, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Vice President of Marketing Services, Vice President of Northern West Virginia Operations, Vice President of Fairmont/Potomac Operations, Vice-President of Fairmont Operations, and Vice President of Ohio Operations. Mr. Stovash served as a member of the Board of the National Coal Transportation Association, National Mining Association Transportation Steering Committee, United States Marine Transportation System National Advisory Council, and United States Inland Waterway Users Board. He was a representative on the World Coal Institute (WCI) in Brussels, Belgium and the International Energy Agency (IEB-CIAB) in Paris, France. Mr. Stovash is a member of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, the Society of Mining Engineering, a past member and Vice-Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Visiting Committee at the University of Pittsburgh and past member of the Mining Engineering Visiting Committee at West Virginia University. He was elected a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering in 2009. Mr. Stovash currently serves as a Member of Board of Directors and Chair of the Quality and Clinical Oversight Committee of the Monongalia Health System and General Hospital in Morgantown, WV, Trustee Emeritus and Past Member of Board of Directors and Vice President of West Virginia Public Theater, and past Member of Board of Directors of the Greater Morgantown Charitable Trust. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970, a degree in Economic Evaluation and Decision Methods from the Colorado School of Mines in 1974, and a degree in Executive Management Program from the University of Illinois in 1984.
Paul Caldwell - Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary
Paul D. Caldwell has over 35 years of financial experience. Mr. Caldwell has held senior financial positions with Canadian mining companies operating in Argentina, Canada, Costa Rica, Mongolia, Nicaragua and the United States. He has been involved with a number of capital market transactions including private placement, prospectus and debt financings and several mergers and acquisitions. From August 2006 to June 2011, Mr. Caldwell was the CFO and Corporate Secretary of Khan Resources Inc. which holds a uranium project in Mongolia. From October 2003 until August 2006, he was Controller of Glencairn Gold Corporation which operates gold mines in Central America.
Joseph Gallo - President, Wilson Creek
Joseph Gallo has over 33 years of experience in the coal business. Mr. Gallo has been involved in all phases of coal mining from permitting and engineering through extraction and development of reserves. He is the former President for PBS Coals Ltd. where he managed operations producing 2.5 million tons annually. Mr. Gallo is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he received a BS degree in Mining Engineering. Mr. Gallo is a Pennsylvania State Certified Mine Foreman and Mine Electrician. He is a member of the Technical Committee for the Pennsylvania Coal Association and is an MSHA Safety Instructor. Prior to joining Wilson Creek, Mr. Gallo was the Chief Operating Officer of PBS Coals, Limited.
Stephen Meehan - Vice President, Sales, Wilson Creek
Stephen Meehan has over 36 years of experience in the coal industry that began with his family business. Mr. Meehan was a sales executive with Alpha Natural Resources and its predecessor from 1989 until he joined ICS in April 2008. Most recently, Mr. Meehan was the President of ICS and Vice President of Godin, an affiliate of ICS. Up to March 2008, Mr. Meehan was Vice President, Eastern Sales with Alpha Coal Sales Co., LLC.
